Lionel #154-12 Crossing Signal Crossarm Castings, 2 pieces - NEW! These appear to be late Lionel factory production in Michigan, but using dies from the postwar period prior to 1950. The casting number is the same as on other listings from the early post-war period...but they ARE NOT interchangable! The current Lionel P/N for this casting is-023.This auction is for two (2) pieces, like shown in the photo. The casting is NOT threaded for screw-base bulbs, nor machined for bayonet-base either. I believe these were made for Lionel's modern Crossing signal #1-2888. It was designed to use modern lamp #600-8352-700, available from Lionel. (also available from Lionel: circuit board #610-2760-300, which flashes the lamps alternately at a steady rate.)Obviously, it needs painting. A brave soul might try to tap threads for a screw bulb, or machine grooves for a bayonet bulb. The casting itself is in perfect condition : no chips or bends. The holes at the rear of the bulb sockets have some flash metal, and will need to be filed or drilled-out. If you have a 154 with a broken crossarm, or are a restorer looking for an easily paintable casting that will require NO repairs (but might require adaptation), this is for you.As always, full details, conservative grading, NO reserve, and a low starting price!Browse my other listings (also in my Encore
