My objective: To find, fix, rehabilitate, & list at least on Post War LIONEL Loco and/or Whistle Tender a week (until planting season). PLEASE: Double This auction is for a beautiful Post War Lionel 2025 K-4 Type Pacific or Adriatic Steam Locomotive 2-6-2 and a 2466WX circa late 1940s. Both are operational. 20 25 Steam Engine: This loco is considered a quality medium-sized steam engine. It shares its body style with the 675 and 2035. This features Baldwin drivers, a 3-position E-unit, operating headlight, and an operational smoke chamber. This class of medium size Lionel locomotives is supposed to be THE smoothest running locomotive from the late forties and early fifties. The engine is in good condition. The motor and E-unit were rewired, cleaned, oiled, silicon treated, and lithium greased, and the motor's armature polished on January 30, 2011. It is completely operational. I tested it on my track, and everything works. The engine’s lettering is relatively crisp and both jewels are in place. And, most importantly, this locomotive, cycled through forward, neutral and reverse, and ran smooth, quiet, and strong. The smoke chamber is a rebuilt oil type, and it smokes strong.
