Up for bidding is a very nice Postwar Lionel 456 Coal Ramp. This unit will come in it's very nice original box. The ramp and contents appear to be all original and unused. The ramp aluminum and the bumper screws have the brightness of being new. Included with this unit are three original cardboard packing inserts, controller and the parts envelope containing: 4 screws, two bin posts, instructions and original inspection sheet from the Lionel factory employee. The controller wire appears to never have been used. The controller is complete and is free of scratches, chips breaks or nicks. The bin appears to be unused having a smooth clean surface inside and outside. The base of the ramp is clean and has a nice crisp factory finish with the exception of one minute circular spot. This spot has slight surface rust and in our opinion has occurred from a flawed paint procedure(see last pic). This spot is very small and not offensive. We didn't notice it until the unit was taken out of the box for pictures. The 3456 Operation Coal Hopper comes in its original box showing no track marks on the wheels. The car is clean and crisp. The 3456 box from age and some opening and closing has some weak tabs and one coupler protective flap has come loose.
