The 6346 Alcoa Aluminum is a one year only item from 1956. It is also one of a few covered hoppers produced by Lionel. Being a one-year-only item, a covered hopper and having a silver painted body which has generally tarnished with age, this is a hard item to locate in collectable condition. This hopper features a silver painted body, die-cast metal trucks, die-cast metal operating knuckle couplers, metal wheels and axles. This car has a little dust and dirt on the body and in the grooves of the hatches. The overall appearance of this car may be improved with a gentle and thorough cleaning.
