I do not believe this baggage car was ever run. It is in excellent shape as you can see from the pictures. Original hard to find REA Baggage Car from the 1950s. The gentleman I bought it from said he bought it in the 1950s and never ran it . The wheels show no wear so I do not believe it has been run. The sides, top, bottom, etc.are in great shape--look at the pictures. I have kept it in the box in my train room all these years and it is now time for it to go to a new collector . The box is in very nice shape. It is labeled No. 2530 Baggage Car. There are some staining at one end of the box but it did not effect the car at all. There are two slits that are on the top that must hane been made by someone cutting with a very sharp exacto knife-they are both about an inch and a half long--but you have to look pretty hard to see tham. The flaps are all intact and it even has the original Lionel wrapping paper-that is how I got it-wrapped up in that paper. I have tried to represent everything as best as I could and put several pictures to let you look them over. If you have questions please email me before bidding. I graded the auction as used because the box is not in perfect condition. I will pack it carefully so it will arrive in great shape.
