This auction is for a scarce Postwar #682 Big 6-8-6 STEAM TURBINE ENGINE ...This is the early postwar 1954-55 model with solid sintered iron rims on ALL Eight drive wheels , plus Magnatraction for added pulling power ... The #682 was the Only Turbine Lionel Produced with the added Valve Gear Linkage , just like the real Pennsylvania Turbines....This one looks to be in excellent + almost like new condition...nice satin black paint, no chips or rubs , the white stripe appears original ,...this is the version with the Heat-Stamped cab numbers [ these are crisp & deeply stamped ], even the Pennsylvania 6200 Red Keystone on the boiler-front is sharp & intact , .... No dents , dings or missing Parts...all Steps/Ladders intact...shows only minor wear on the contact rollers , this big Locomotive has been fully tested and RUNS like new ! ...Smooth and Strong & fast , both in Fwd. & Reverse , good Magnatraction , three position E-Unit cycles Correctly...Headlight works and the Smoke unit puffs out a nice , puffing cloud of smoke ...very nice antique LIONEL Locomotive ...will come to you fully charged w/ smoke and ready-to-run !
