This item is a Lionel HelicopterLaunching Flat Car No. 3419 Variation B. It was available from 1959 until 1965 and comes with early AAR trucks equipped with disc couplers. This car would release the helicopter with the use of a No. 6019 or USC uncoupling track section after it had been manually wound. The winding mechanism still works. This is a Variation B so the launching mechanism and release lever were brightly plated but have faded over time. This variation comes with the Type B, gray U.S. Navy Helicopter version with one main rotor and no tip pods. This helicopter comes with a clear tail rotor assembly that has yellowed with age. This item is in good condition and shows some signs of aging. The item comes with a Lionel box, but the original. Any questions just ask. Thanks for looking and !
