Lionel Vintage Postwar No. 1122E Remote Controlled Non-derailing Switches, Illuminated Controller, OB . For sale is a pair of Lionel No. 1122E remote controlled non-derailing switches in excellent condition with a twin illuminated controller and the original box. The controller has been rewired and colored connectors have been installed that match colored binding post on the switches to ensure correct setup (see pictures). The switches and controller were cleaned, lubricated, and adjusted to operate smoothly, correctly, and consistently. Also included are the switch light bulbs, bi-color lanterns, and the controller light bulb. All track has been cleaned and all conducting and insulating pins are included . The tape holding two of the sides of the box together has failed with age, but the box is intact. Sold by Lionel from 1952 to 1969 for 027-gauge track, these No. 1122E switches can be switched remotely by the operator and will automatically switch to the correct position to prevent a derailment if the switch detects that it is set against an oncoming engine. This pair of switches is ready to install on your Lionel layout!
