Lionel Vintage Postwar No. 1122E Remote Controlled Non-derailing Switches and Illuminated Controller with OBFor sale is a pair of vintage Lionel No. 1122E remote controlled non-derailing switches in excellent--near perfect--condition with a twin illuminated No. 1122-100 controller and the original box . The controller has been rewired with two 6' lengths of flat 3-wire cable and colored spade connectors have been installed that match colored binding post nuts on the switches to ensure correct setup (see pictures). The track has been cleaned, and the switches and controller lubricated, tested, and adjusted to operate smoothly, correctly, and consistently. Also included are the switch light bulbs, bi-color (Red/Green) switchstand lanterns, all conducting and insulating pins in their correct locations, and the controller light bulb. The original box is in very good condition with all the flaps and the Strawbridge and Clothier price tag!Sold by Lionel from 1953 to 1969 for 027-gauge track, these No. 1122E switches can be switched remotely by the operator and will automatically switch to the correct position to prevent a derailment if the switch detects that it is set against an oncoming train.
