Lionel World War II Navy Motor Offered is an original and NEW (never used) Bodine-type gear motor No. CR3 manufactured by Lionel Corporation in 1944. This was part of a U.S. Navy contract when the company could not make it's famous toy trains. The motor is a neat collectible with the original inspection tag attached (dated 1944). This product is one of the few that were produced using the "LIONEL" diagonal logo over the "L" in gold and black. As an added bonus---this motor has been tested and works perfectly! It has two shafts which operate concurrently; one shaft has a gear box for variable gears. This is a neat and tough collectible to find and I am offering this at an incredible price! This motor is quite heavy (about 5 pounds) but does fit in a flat rate priority rate box regardless of distance. The full story about this motor and other Lionel military products is in my new book, Inside the Lionel Trains Fun Factory ~ The History of a Manufacturing Icon and the Place W Childhood Dreams Were Made !
