LISTED VERA CHOPAK de CHAMPLAIN O/C SURREALIST Painting Description This work is by Listed New York artist, Vera Chopak de Champlain, both highly sought after and collectible. Two works of hers have just recently become available and are both up for auction this week. The subject matter is two abstract female figure poised on rocky outcroppings with outstreched arms. It is executed in intense yet soft colors. The image is deep and haunting. The painting is signed on the lower left hand corner. Vera Chopak de Champlain was duly elected a Fellow of the Royal Society if Arts, London, the Patron Queen Elisabeth II and President The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. With this honor, the title "Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts" was bestowed on her and she is authorised to use the initials "F.R.S.A." after her name. She studied under Edwin Walter Dickinson.
