The Little Tavern Shops is a chain of hamburger restaurants in Baltimore, MD and Wahington,D.C.. As of Jan. 2007 only three restaurants remain in the chain, though it was much more numerous once: in 1939, t were 21 in D.C., and 50 in the Baltimore-Washington area. The slogan of the chain was "Buy 'em buy the bag," and its signs promised "Cold drinks*Good Coffee". The chain was founded in 1927 in Louisville, KY, by Harry F. Duncan, who relocated to Washington, D.C., in 1928 w he opened a Little Tavern Shop in 814 E.Street NW. T is normal wear on the bottom of the cup and around the lip, no chips or cracks, although it is a little rough around the lip. T is a little pitting on the worn spots. The cup is a good heavy ceramic and made from the "Shenango China Company" out of New Castle, PA. The bottom of the cup reads:Rim Rol Wel Roc, N-22 According to the Shenango China Timeline this cup was manufactured between Jan/June 1964 Thanks for looking, Happy Bidding!!!!
