Ypu are bidding on a lot of 17 match worn/issued/player spec Spurs football shirts. This is a very reluctant sale, so make my loss your gain! All of the shirts are in excellent condition, but naturally, there are some that show signs of wear. Also included are 2 pairs of player issue shorts, both of which match shirts that I have included within the auction. Everything shown in the photo's are included in the auction (17 shirts, 2 pairs of shorts) I like to think I know enough about these shirts to get by in the hobby, but I am by no means an expert, so forgive me if any of the background info is a little off! I will naturally do my best to answer any questions you may have. I have set a reserve because, as I said these are a reluctant sale, and I'd rather keep them, than sell them for an amount that I'm not happy with. Postage (UK only) will be determined by the amount that the shirts sell for as they will be sent with the appropriate level of insurance. PLEASE NOTE THAT DUE TO THE NUMBER OF PICTURES REQUIRED TO SHOW ALL THE SHIRTS, BOTH FRONT AND BACK I HAVE IN MOST CASES ONLY BEEN ABLE TO SHOW THE FRONTS OF THE SHIRTS. PLEASE FOLLOW THIS LINK FOR MORE PICTURES /albums/ii202/aj23fan/Spurs%20player%20spec%20shirts/ ALSO NOTE THAT THE 2 1991/92 SHIRTS ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE AUCTION (#15 AND 18) Finally, The shirts included in this auction are as follows:1991/04 Umbro away (yellow) L/S shirt #18, Die cut, heat applied numbers, no name or sleeve patches so would assume issued for a friendly game. Embroidered badges (replicas of this shirt featured heat applied club badge and Umbro logo) Umbro font in capital letters indicating a later version of this shirt as the earlier versions had Umbro in lower case letters. The reverse of the size label has 2 numbers written on it (21 and 18) which I gather to have been noted by the kitman of the time (Roy Reyland) for numbering purposes. Long sleeved replica's were not available at this time. Size L1993/95 Umbro home shirt S/S #2 Cloth number with Umbro logo printed on number, cloth Premier League sleeve patches and fully embroidered larger badge (unlike replica's) and Umbro logo. Size XL1999/01 Adidas home S/S shirt #18 Fox. Replica shirt numbered for UEFA cup use. At various points in time, player shirt supplies dry up forcing the use of replica shirts (see picture of Sherwood and Iversen) Player shirts did'nt carry the Adidas Official Merchandise label (applied to the hem of the shirt on replica's) and yet this tag can be clearly seen on Sherwoods shirt indicating a replica. You can also make out the badge free numbering worn in Europe on the back of Iversens shirt, which was never available to buy commercially. No Premier League/Club badge/Manufacturers logo's on player sized Chris Kay Lextra numbering as per UEFA regulations of the time. I have never seen another of these shirts for sale on ebay, very rare! Size L2001/02 Adidas home S/S shirt - No name/number - new with tags blank shirt, just as it would have arrived at the Spurs kit room from Adidas. Massively different to the replica shirt, the player shirt features different construction of the collar which is more rugged, slightly larger Adidas and club badges, both of which feature wonder web on the reverse to prevent nipple rub for the players, and most telling of all, a large area of mesh panelling running from under each armpit, all the way down to the hem. Beautiful shirt. Size L2001/02 Adidas away (sky blue) L/S shirt # 31 Thelwell. Again, massively different to the replica of the shirt. I think this is possibly the most interesting shirt in my collection, not to mention one of the most sought after. The number of differences between this and the replica version, makes the replica worth tracking down just to see them all! Again the collar is of a sturdier construction compared to that of the replica, and again the Adidas and Spurs badges are larger if only slightly than that found on the replica.
