Fifth, a lot of 23 bank checks with internal revenue stamps from the turn of the century 1898-1901. The checks are all from New Jersey. Some are from Manasquan and some from Freehold. Some have the 2-cent Washington stamps with I.R. Stamped on them. Some have the 2 cent documentary stamps with the ship on the front. All but one have hand cancels and one does not. Sixth, a Canal & Banking Co. of New Orleans obsolete $5 Note. This note has no serial numbers or signatures and is made on very thin paper. It is in outstanding shape. I think it may have never been used. Next, 2 unused envelopes from the Department of Justice ALCATRAZ SanFrancisco. Postage and Fees paid ...Department of Justice. Lower left corner has a 42 in the corner. This is a really neat lot of old documents. read more
