Offered is a Lowe/Anri "Renaissance" Classic Chess Set from 1959. All 32 pieces come in the original Lowe Case with the Manual (manual is missing first two pages). The board, the case and all of the men are in excellent condition, w/ the exception of the following: one of the white knights has a small bare spot on its felt - all of the other felt bottoms look great (see photos) . Also, the weight has come loose in three pieces: one white rook, one white pawn and one black pawn. Kings measure just less than five inches while the pawns stand 3-1/2" tall. Whole thing weighs about 5-1/2 lbs. Case measures 16" x 14" x 2-1/4". A very nice set for the era.
