Selling this Vintage Ludwig & Ludwig Snare drum, 3"(actual shell depth) X 15"(actual shell width) It has 16 Lugs, and Ludwigs First production strainer they ever made, which should date it between 1911-1920. The drum is in great condition, I put on a brand new Aquarian Vintage medium top head, and a Remo Ambassador snare side head. The heads fit snug but go on. I cannot find any structural damage at all on the drum, it seems as solid as a rock, I think the shell is mahogany, Ludwig used Solid shells back then of Mahogany, Walnut or maple. The re-inforcing rings look like Maple. The finish looks original, has a few scratches but looks great. The drum does Not come with snare wires, I do however have the original snare wires(each on is an individual wire that loops thru the stariner and buttplate holes) And I will be happy to include those, there are 10 of them and they look like tiny coils/springs. Some might think my asking prices are high on these old drums but they're not like trees and they don't grow back and they were only made in ONE time in history and they're getting harder to find in good condition like this one. Besides that I am a collector and love em and not to sound arrogant but it doesn't matter if they sell or not as they look good on my Ebay store.
