This is an original WWII (1943) Luftwaffe FN 1922 Leather Drop-Down Theuermann type holster manufactured by Rheinhardt Gustav (Berlin SW68). It bears Rheihardt Gustav’s maker’s Mark ‘jsd’, the date of 1943, the Luftwaffe LuftAmp Eagle/21 and a partial ink stamping (on inside flap) with ‘Nur fur Lange Browning Pistol Kal 7,65’.This holster was part of a bring back package that also included the original officer’s belt (listed separately). Overall, the holster is in good condition, however, one of the drop-down leather straps has been repaired (appears solid) and a GI added a rawhide lanyard to the bottom eyelet. The lanyard can be removed without damaging the holster, but I left it as found. The strap buckles and unbuckles easily, the stitching is mostly 99% intact with two stitches missing (one from each side) on the bottom of the mag pouch. A mag was stored in it for decades and the pouch still securely holds a spare mag. This is your chance to obtain an uncommon Luftwaffe holster that is still in functional condition and a great representation of the Theuermann design.
