TITANIC - Crow's Nest Key - ARTIFACT REPLICA This is a historically accurate replica display featuring the front and back one of the rarest and most prized artifacts from Titanic: the 'Crow's Nest Key'. There is a fascinating story behind the key to Titanic's lookout tower known as 'The Crow's Nest' . This tag and key has been been carefully reproduced from the original- from the size and font on the tag as well as the cut of the teeth in the barrel key. It is very likely this replica key could actually open the 'Crow's Nest' locker which still exists today sunken in the wreckage of Titanic 2 miles below the surface of the North Atlantic./ The tags are made of resin and coated in real, polished brass,and appear just like the originals. The keys are also made of resin painted to look exactly like old iron of the original. The nameplate is gold metal with black lettering. A truly stunning set. -Display is high quality with an ornate antique appearance -Display measures: 14.25" tall x 7.25" wide x .75" deep. Buttons rest on black matte paper. Looks great hanging on a wall. Please note: this set is intended for display only . The keys & tags are only finished on one side and are not designed to be handled or taken out of the display case. In 1912 the original 'Crow's Nest Key' was in the pocket of Titanic's Second Officer David Blair.
