M1 Garand CMP American Black Walnut Complete Stock Set w/ Metal, almost NEW Stock is in very nice condition only used very briefly. The left side has CMP logo (lightly) stamped in the wood. A very nice example of a CMP M1 Garand American black walnut stock set, both the handguards are a good match to the stock. The stock was actually made by Boyds Stocks for the CMP and is fashioned after the M1 Garand stocks of WWII so there is no bulges in the wood or wood hanging way over the metal parts, as there are with many other commercial makes of M1 Garand stocks on today's market. I removed the Garand action out of this stock which, like I said, came on a Service Grade Special Garand so you would better understand its orgin. The CMP is putting these new stock sets on quite a few of their SA & HRA Service Grade Special Garands. Possibly a few very slight handling marks on the outside from the CMP armorers may exsist. I have been extremely careful not to add any myself. There are also the slight marks made from the clamping a Garand action into the stock for a brief period of time these will be hidden when you clamp in your action so they do not matter all that much.
