This BAT HELMET has the connecting point of the band around the bottom of the helmet joined in the back of the helmet. Also, this helmet is the ORGINAL FINISH helmet. The package includes: (Pict.1) steel helmet with camaflouge net webbing that covers the outside of the helmet (similar to the helmets you see in the movie, "Saving Private Ryan"). (Pict. 2) the helmet with out the webbing. (Pict. 3) a fiberglass liner with adjustable webbing and adjustable sweat band. (Picts. 4&5) the snap style chin straps. The chin straps may be a bid faded, but they have been stress-tested to at least 10 lbs.; so they're nice and solid. Also, the bales are solid, functional, free-swinging bales. Also, the fiberglass liner with suspension is NOT always the original equipment--rotten webbing, shriveled leather sweat bands, etc., have been replaced. Keep in mind, the helmet is not new--anywhere from 60 to 68 years old; so, DON'T expect a barnd new helmet. However, this helmet and accessories are in excellent condition. Also, according to one expert, the helmets with the seam connected in back were also used in the latter part of WW II.
