Very Good Condition on this Vintage MacGregor "CHUCK TANIS" "CUSTOM" DRIVER. A Rare Stamping from MacGregor, Chuck Tanis was the Head Pro for FORTY SEVEN YEARS at Chicago's famous OLYMPIA FIELDS GOLF CLUB, host to Major Championships throughout golfs history. Warren was National PGA President in 1971 and served as a Rules official in 44 consecutive Masters Tournaments, working hand in hand with Augusta National’s CLIFFORD ROBERTS starting in 1958. Warren also served as Ryder Cup Rules Umpire at the Matches from the 1950’s through the 1990’s and was Head official at Oak Hill in 1995. Warren is a Member of the Michigan Golf Hall of Fame and the PGA of America Golf Professional Hall of Fame. Warren’s extensive collection includes Clubs, Books, Documents, Trophies, Badges and numerous other items. Warren’s good friend DON SOPER who served as the Michigan Section PGA President from 1961-1963, left much of his collection to Warren and these items will also be offered in upcoming auctions.
