I recently purchased a Japanese collection of Chinese porcelain, some pieces of which would have been made specifically for the Japanese market, and are rarely seen in the West. I have attempted to list them as accurately as I am able, but as some of these I have never seen before, buyers should take care and bid and buy on your own judgment. DESCRIPTION: A truly magnificent pair of eight lobed Chinese bowls, exquisitely decorated in famille rose enamels with panels of floral sprays, the inside in turquoise. Underneath the iron red four character shendetang mark, popularised by the Daoguang Emperor (1820 to 1850), and of the period. Size: 180mm (7.2 inches) Diameter Condition: No chips, no cracks and no restoration. A few expected firing spots. Some wear and dirtying to the turquoise inner.Please view images carefully.
