PAINTING / SKETCH / CHRISTMAS CARD This is a card sent at Christmas by Major George Cattley who was an equine artist who served with the 4th RI Dragoon Guards in WW1 I'm guessing that he drew the original and that is just one of the copies he produced and sent to his friends As far as I can see the signature and title are printed but it's really difficult to tell. The Bonzo 1926 is definitely added afterwards and is in the same ink as the writing on the back I've been informed by a helpful e-Bayer that Ware Heel is a term used in Beagling (hunting Hare with Beagles) I can't find anything else like this by Cattley, just fabulous oil paintings of horses so whether this was just a bit of fun for him I have no idea Thanks for looking and please do contact me if you can provide any further information or if you think I've advertised this incorrectly
