On this auction we have a BROKEN Marantz 2500. Our in house technican said: ''It has a bad power transformer'' Cosmetically we'd give it an 8 on a scale of 1-10. It is not mint but is generally clean for its age! Most of the cosmetic flaws are on the black metal case. Someone with some painting skills (not us!) could sand and paint the metal cabinet and turn it into a 9! Note that it is missing one knob on the scope level. s the story: A few years ago we sold this in working order to someone through our retail shop with a warranty. At the time we sold it everything worked fine including the scope. It got returned to us broken at some point and was diagnosed as having a bad power transformer. It's been sitting for at least a year in our back room and offer no assurance of what works at this point. If you bid on this item please do so with the understanding that it is being sold strictly as-is! Unless you like to tinker, need it for parts or know a competent technical person to deal with its issues please don't bid!We promise to pack it with extra care (see our feedback!) and deliver it promptly - assuring the buyer that it arrives as described and NOT DOA.
