This lot, A MARBLE CONSIGNMENT , consists of a 1-9/16" (40 mm) hand made "Quadruple Ribbon Core" (ca. 1850-1870) in Near Mint (8.4) condition with a few pinprick flakes and a subsurface moon/reflection, as well as general wear and pinpricking (examined, as always, under 20-power magnification with strong lighting). It has a cage of outer yellow strands and bands spiraling around four very closely spaced interior ribbons, two each of blue/pink/white and turquoise/pink/white.
