A beautiful example of an ALL-TIN jet airplane toy from the early 1960's. This airplane measures 20" in length with a wingspan of 17 1/2". ALL BATTERY OPERATED FUNCTIONS WORK! When switched on, the red/clear jet pods start flashing one at a time in sequence, then when all four are flashing together, airplane glides forward (or in a circle) for a few seconds while making a loud "jet" sound. Airplane then stops, pods stop flashing one at a time and the sequence begins all over again. Metal nose wheel can be turned for left or right turns. All parts made of tin/steel except for the plastic clear/red engine pods which contain flashing bulbs. All lights function properly, as does motor and "jet" sound. Uses 3 size "D" batteries. CONDITION OF THE PLANE IS VERY GOOD TO EXCELLENT. T are two small dents on the fuselage and tail, with minor rust spots and scratches and t The largest dent is at the upper left wingtip area which I have not attempted to straighten as I am not an expert on such things. The main rubber wheels have been expoxied to the shaft to avoid wobble and work perfectly. Overall a very displayable, clean, shiny, working PAN AM AIRLINES toy. You will not be disappointed. Made in JAPAN and sold by LOUIS MARX and COMPANY under the "Line-MAR Toys" name, this jet airplane was featured in the 1960 SEARS TOY CATALOG and sold read more
