An Old MARX New York Central Train Set 1950's The MARX 999 steam engine & tender bodys are good with normal wear on the paint. Some scratches light dings & surface rust. The 999 steam engine does not have the front or rear trucks but still runs well. The train engine motor was also lightley cleaned and oiled and it runs well foward and reverse and the light works. Wheels are the old spoked style and are in good condition. The pick up is MARX post war type replacement & good. The NewYork Central tender, P & R box car, Niacet tank car & MARX Marlines caboose show normal wear. As can be seen there in some surface rust scraches and dings on the bodys. The wheels also have surface rust that is cleanable. All couplers are good. The track is MARX 8 curves and 2 straights and show normal wear with some surface tarnish and slight rust. Track is usable but should be cleaned with a non metalic pad or light sand paper and a soft cloth before use. The Lionel 45 watt transformer is included in this set and works. The track clip and wire is also included. All in used condition. The wheels are all good and all roll well. Please view the pics. Questions welcome.
