Mary Poppins Peter Ellenshaw Limited Edition Giclee HC #5/12 (Walt Disney, 1999). Peter Ellenshaw (1913 - 2007) was a two-time Academy Award winning matte painter and special effects artist for the Walt Disney Studios. His work creating scenes of London in Mary Poppins won him his second Academy Award. His first Oscar was for special effects on 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. Peter was inducted as a Disney Legend in 1993. In the 1990s he was commissioned by Disney Art Editions (later Walt Disney Art Classics), the art publishing division for the Walt Disney Studios, to do a series of paintings. His second Mary Poppins interpretive painting was titled "Flying in London Skies." A Fine Art giclee on canvas was created from his original painting and was released in an edition of only 200 pieces, 50 Artist Proofs and 12 HCs (hors de commerce). This is a rare HC edition, number 5 of 12. This edition was an instant sellout and is in high demand. The piece is framed with Plexiglas for a size of 44" x 32" with a mat opening of 36" x 24". The piece is hand-signed by Peter Ellenshaw. The frame is sold as-is. Artwork is in Very Good condition.HID03201242017 Grade: 0, Service: Uncertified, Service No.: 1418470
