This is a very nice silver Past Masters Jewel for Whitefriars Lodge no 5097. This lodge meets at the Masonic Centre , 88 High St, Southgate, London. The lodge was founded in 1929. The jewel is hallmarked silver throughout,and was made by George Kenning & Son. It is hallmarked for silver London 1952. The jewel depicts a lovely silver figure of a Friar,he is holding a book, the detail is excellent Under his feet is a white enamel block with the words Hallstone,which means the Lodge became a Hallstone Lodge. Under the block ,it has in blue enamel W.M.1952-53 The jewel is inscribed on the back " Presented to W.Bro.William Clement Fowles by the brethren of Whitefriars Lodge no5097 as a token of esteem and in appreciation of his efficient services as W.M.1952-53." This jewel will make a welcome addition to any collection. Payment preferred is Paypal ,however I will accept cheques from the UK, but will post the jewel once cheques have cleared.
