MASSIVE Mexican Silver Swirls & Domes CASTILLO Dsgn HEAVY 292 Gm, 10.25 Ounces, COLLECTOR Necklace in SUPERB VINTAGE CONDITION!! Featured on the cover of "WILLIAM SPRATLING AND THE MEXICAN SILVER RENAISSANCE" and included in the book is the Pre-Columbian Double Swirls & Domes Necklace by the famous Taxco silversmith, Antonio Castillo (LOS CASTILLO) who worked for William Spratling in the 1930's. This necklace is a replica of the same necklace by D'MOLINA (SMM/TM-90). Pre-Eagle (before 1948) SMM 925 Hallmark, noted on back of the box and tongue clasp.The necklace is one of the most magnificent Los Castillo designs and this one measures 18-1/2 in. clasped, which makes it fit very nicely as most are very short in length. Each panel has heavy-duty rivets that hold the links together for strength and flexibility. The beads are not dented (you may see patina spots/glare). A dynamic presence is shown with the panels being 1.25" in Width.
