This listing features a very well polished plank cut stand up display specimen of beautiful agatized petrified wood with a pleasing red bark originating from the McDermitt, Nevada area within the Owyhee Mountains! The display fossil wood is highly agatized and translucent yet wood growth structure is preserved in highly pigmented brown, tan and cream colored agate. The display petrified wood has a cut base perpendicular to the mirror polished display face that allows it to stand upright for stable display. The plank cut, polished wood specimen has a round, naturally terminated reverse side with a nice red bark in contrast to the dark brown, almost black agate. All photographs were taken while the specimen was dry. The display piece weighs 1 pound 6.8 ounces exactly and measures 141mm by 79mm by 30mm. I will combine shipping for multiple purchases as long as the specimens can be packaged in a manner that minimizes the potential for damage.
