This marvelous 19th century Meissen piece came over from Germany in the 1950's and is believed to have been t during the war. It features a gentleman baring gifts, a lady playing an instrument and a young boy holding on to the tree they are all under. The superior details and colors are fabulous! Unfortunately it suffered some damage when it was in Germany. The young boy is missing his right hand and the branches of the tree have had parts broken off. This piece measures 9 inches tall, 5 3/4 inches wide and 4 3/4 inches deep. The Meissen "crossed swords" are on the underside. Please view all the pictures to examine damaged/missing areas and let me know if you have questions. The shipping fees include the cost of insuring this item for the amount of the winning bid. I welcome any information on the origin of this beautiful Meissen piece. Thank you for your interest in this posting. PLEASE NOTE: THE PICTURE WITH THE TREE INTACT IS AN EXAMPLE OF WHAT THIS PIECE SHOULD LOOK LIKE. IT IS NOT THE PIECE YOU ARE BIDDING ON.
