Mellor & Venables sugar bowl with lid - transferware - ironstone - white background black scene - when looked at under bright light, there are undertones of blue/purple? - about 8" tall with lid - marked on bottom: Ironstone China Mellor Venables & Co. with 2 lions -also has the #14 on bottom - 1800's.......Condition - good - inner rim of bowl and lid do have some nips and discoloration (see photos) - no crazing - inside of lid had a sticker that I took out, can kind of see on pics.
