Mellors Venables Medici Blue & Hand Colored Transferware Bread Plate Circa 1847Ironstone blue transferware 10 sided bread plate in the Medici pattern with hand pink and green hand colored highlights. Made by Mellors Venables & Company. Marked on the reverse Medici in blue. Also has an impressed mark that reads Ironstone and an English registry mark that dates 1847. Has overall staining of the type that may soak out & crazing. Also has a 1" tight crack extending off the edge and a X shaped hairline on the base. Measures 6 1/4" wide.This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display-ability of the piece.Please see my other listings for more Mellors Venables & Co transferware in this and other patterns.
