We have available a very rare 1/2L 8 1/2” tall Mettlach stein with a transfer and hand painted color scene of the town of Mettlach from 1917 showing the Hospital grounds in town. The stein has a pewter lid that has a relief design. The base marks 2140 to identify the body shape. The number 05 indicates that the body blank was manufactured in 1905. There are no chips or cracks anywhere on the stein. The color is very good and strong. These are very rare steins to find. This stein makes a wonderful addition to any advanced collectors collection.
