This listing is for a fully functional BATTERY OPERATED POPCORN VENDOR BEAR w/box as shown. This is not a reproduction toy. It is in very good -excellent condition. Colors are clear & bright. Litho, tin, plush fur, clothing & plastic parts are nice & clean. No corrosion anywhere. There is some moderate shedding of the black fur on the bear. When switch is pushed on, he does the correct 6 actions as follows: (1) Cart moves forward, (2) Red light in popper lights up, (3) Popper pops the popcorn making a loud popping sound, (4) Umbrella spins in a circular motion, (5) Bear moves from side to side, (6) Bear's feet move as if pedaling. Very neat! A nice toy to display with your bear collection. This toy has been tested and works great!. Battery compartment is mint as are the connections. This is a "MADE IN JAPAN" toy listed in Don Hultzman's book, COLLECTOR'S GUIDE TO BATTERY TOYS, copyright 2002, second edition. It is listed & pictured on page 139. It is a 1960's era toy made by the S&E Co & distributed by Cragstan. It has a rarity of 6 on a scale to 10 being the rarest, and a value of $500.00 in C-10 condition without the box. The box is in very good condition with no splits or rips. This would make an nice addition to any collector of B.O. toys. Displays well.
