Mickey Mouse lithographed tin HANDY lunchbox with interior tray & handles. This is the holy grail of lunch boxes or at least it used to be. Circa 1934-1935 made by Geuder, Paeschke & Frey Co. of Milwaukee, Wisc. Made in the style of a real workingman's lunch box with the wire handles & the sheet metal interior tray. This is a very fine example showing wear on the top were the handles rubbed against the litho surface. In the lunchbox collectors book published around 1990 the authors wrote that this was the holy grail and that t were only 6 known. While that might have been true in 1990 it is certainly not true today. T is a picture of me in Antique Toy World Magazine at the Chicago toy show(Oct. 1995 I believe) sitting in the open hatch back of my rental car holding a big cardboard box with 5 of these lunchboxes. I purchased them at the show from a dealer who got them from the original owner's family house - 5 boys & each had their own Mickey Mouse lunchbox in 1935! It turned out that t were actually 6 boys in the house with a Mickey lunch box but the dealer was holding 1 back. I got that one a year later. It was the best of the 6 which is why he held back on me. I am selling it today - 10 years later. I have provided numerous pictures.
