Covered baskets of this quality and condition are now rare. This basket possesses an amazing untouched surface and exhibits the type of warm smooth patina you want to see on a basket of this age. The woven splint is still tight and the basket displays wonderfully with no leaning to one side or sagging. It measures about 12 ½” high including the handle, 8” to the top of the lid with a diameter of 9” at the top and 6 ¾” at the base. No repairs or restoration. None needed! Note: The close-up of the lid shows the true color and patina of the basket. The other photos came out lighter than the actual color due to the flash. Additional photos available upon request.
