Mid-Century Modern Retro 1950's mint green Singer 185X sewing machine new belt I try to keep 50 items in my store at all times, but with all the shows I am doing this fall I am not meeting this goal. I have managed to qualify as an Ebayer Top Seller again though, and will continue to provide next business day shipping, even while out of town at shows. I have saved several 'gift-quality' and/or rare items to add to my store for the Holidays. I have items piled everywhere, that need to go into my store. Please check back for some one of a kind Holiday Gift items. This sale is for 1 of 5-6 Singer Sewing Machines that I will be adding to my store, in time for gift-giving. The Singer Sewing Machine Company is the oldest, best-known and respected name in sewing machines the world over. I do not collect Sewing Machines, although the Pyle Sew and Vac in Terre Haute Indiana, must think I do. I just had them check out three(3) machines and will have them check out the other 2-3 before adding them to my store. They are wonderful and are highly recommended. They repaired damage, but did do not clean and oil machines this is left to the new owner. I will enclose copies of the information that he sends, when I pick them up, indicating what he did, and that they work. This sale is for a small machine, so great looking, perfect for any Mid-Century Modern or Retro decor, see picts. I do NOT have the carrying case or a sewing table for it, but the nice clean lines display well, see picts. The front of the machine and the wheel on the back are both painted in a coordinating mint green color, see picts. The pedal and the sewing machine light are obviously original, even the electrical cord is the same great green color, see picts. Nice to find a vintage machine in this great condition, see picts. The logo on the front is clean, bright red "S" on a gold background. The top of this plate is marked "185K", see picts. There are two sliding switches, one has a handle on it, that I did not force, and the other has the very tip of black metal exposed, not sure why it is different then the other switch, see picts. I believe that this machine is slightly smaller, maybe considered a 3/4 size machine, see picts. It measures approx. 14 inches long, by 7 inches and is approx. 11 inches tall. I believe it is missing a couple of metal bars to hold the thread on the top, see picts. These should be easy to replace, see picts. I have picts all around, in case I missed something, see picts. Pyle Sew and Vac indicated that "Adjusted Tension on all 3 machines. Sew Tested on All Machines". The Belt was replaced on this machine. They all worked, and there is a piece of fabric in the machine showing the stitching. I am not an electrician and cannot guarantee electrical items to work. You will need to have this machine inspected by someone more knowledgeable then I before using. The electrical cord has no visible damage seen to the cord or the plug. It may be recommended, by your 'electrician' that it be rewired, the electrical is being sold as is. This machine did not have any attachments with it, I am selling what is pictured only. I could find no visible damage, the electrical cord is pliable and appears to be in good shape, see picts. The paint is considered in good condition for it's age. There is the wear around the edges of the machine, where you would expect to find wear. There is a small paint chip under the name "Singer" on front of the machine, again not considered significant, but mentioned and pictured. This is being sold as a working machine.
