This platter was produced by the Syracuse China Company for service in dining cars of the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul & Pacific Railroad (the Milwaukee Road). The platter is in the Syracuse Company's "Econo-Rim" style designed especially for use in railroad dining cars. The rim is narrower than in most china patterns so that the pieces would take up less room on a crowded table. The platter shows two geese traveling over evergreen trees. The bright pink color used on the china of this pattern are unusually bright, but when displayed on a table they make a great impression. This platter is in near-mint condition. It has no chips or cracks or signs of wear. As can be seen in the photo, there is one small spot of extra-dark color near the top of the outer rim.
