This is a true mini jar. It measures only 5 3/8âe tall and is 1.75âe across the opening. The top surface is ground and rough. T are several shallow interior chips inside the edge of the ground surface which may have occurred during the grinding process; otherwise it is in exceptionally fine condition. The chips doe not detract. It is a two-part mold jar blown into a whittled out mold. T is a nice long bubble and several small ones in the glass. The line shown across the bottom photo is not a crack, it is an overlapping seam created during the glass-blowing process. The glass is nice and clear and a very light greenish-blue in color. T is no lid. This is a true primitive old fruit jar. The embossing is sharp and in high relief. It reads âeoeMASONâe(tm)S over the cross and PATENT, NOV 30th, 1858âe below the cross on the front. The bottom reads âeoePAT NOV 26 67 circled over the number 93âe It weighs just 9 ounces. Shipping weight after packaging will be approximately 2 pounds.
