Vintage Miniature Pick & Shovel Neckerchief Slide The Pick is about 3" Long and the Head is 2 1/4" The Shovel is 2 7/8" Long and the Head is 3/4" My dad made a series of these in the late '50s, '60s. He actually machined out the metal parts then hand filed them down to shape! No two sets were ever exactly alike. Look closely at the photos, use the ZOOM. There is even a wedge in the handle end to hold the ax head in place! The shovel head is not attached at this time. I was going to super glue it but then I thought you might want to polish the shovel head up a little. I'm not sure I would but you can if you think it is necessary, then glue the head back on. The raw hide, used to hold the neckerchief is stiff, it may need replaced if you are actually going to wear this slide. These miniatures are so detailed you could use them in a 1/12 scale dollhouse (1 inch = 1 foot). Would be great for a dollhouse garage, shed or mounted on a wall as "Americana." E-mail me with any questions before bidding. Thanks for looking!
