Minty, WW2, Japanese, Shin-gunto, Sword with Scabbard and Tassle! Absolutely beautiful example with no flaws on the blade and a superb, active temperline! (Many more pictures are available upon request). The tang is signed Ichimonji of Seki, 1943 dated and with the Seki arsenal stamp! The blade dimensions are as follows: 25 3/4-Tip to notch, 8 5/8-Tang length, 34 3/8-Overall blade length, 1 1/4-Blade width, 5/16-Blade thickness. The Hilt rates excellent with one small nick to the cloth tape and retains both brass Menuki. The pommel is minty with no wear or dents. The brass Tsuba retains approx. 90% of its gold gilt. The locking mechanism functions perfectly. The Seppa and Tsuba are matching numbered. The blue and brown Tassle is excellent with very little wear. The steel Scabbard rates minty with no dents or dings and retains 100 % of its original brown finish! Overall, a spectacular, minty, untouched example!
