For your consideration is this 1888 MITCHELL'S ATLAS OF THE WORLD. It contains 93 quarto maps and 147 maps and plans with statistical tables and several other lists including post offices, and assorted census lists. There is also a map of the Railroad Lines and Steamship Lines in the US. We have uncovered an atlas that is in amazing condition. The maps and plans are undamaged except for some pages that have minor finger smudges on a corner. The page colors are bright with only slight age related yellowing . The map of the Indian Territory has a small tear on the lower left edge. The cover is connected on the back but the front cover and first sheet (blank) is separated. The covering of the spine is missing. The binding is good, holding all the other pages together intact. Please refer to the photos to judge for yourself. Please email me for photos of any other specific pages. The book measures approximately 15 5/8 inches tall by 12 3/4 inches wide. Please be sure to ask any questions you may have.
