Red 1965 Ford Mustang Mold-A-Rama from the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Michigan. One side of the base says "FORD ROUGE FACTORY TOUR," which is a tour of the historic Dearborn plant w the Mustangs were born. Back in the 1960s when the original Mustangs were being made, the Rouge Factory tour was Detroit's E-ticket. School groups saw Mustangs and Cougars being built side-by-side on the assembly line. A car factory back then was a hot, noisy, dirty place, and eventually Ford ceased its industrial tours for liability and cost-savings reasons. A few years ago, though, the Henry Ford Museum convinced their cousins at the motor company to allow a new high-tech tour of the plant. The new tour, which originates at the Henry Ford Museum and travels to the factory by motor coach, incorporates new safety measures and climate controls to make the experience more like a tour and less like actually working in the factory. The other side of the base says "1965 FORD MUSTANG." I have not cleaned or trimmed the toy. My starting bid price is low, and my postage charge is even lower.
