Hello and thank you for checking out my auction for Issue 8 of Mondo 2000 magazine. Originally published in California during the mid-1980s as High Frontiers, the magazine changed its name in 1988 to Reality Hackers when famous hacker/writer Jude Milhon (aka St. Jude, cypherpunk advocate) joined the editorial staff before it was renamed to Mondo 2000 in 1989. Besides the well written content (often by famous names in the cyberpunk community), the magazine was also known for its ahead-of-its-time, surrealistic Photoshop art by Bart Nagel. Issue 8 was published in late 1992 (the magazine is not published on a regular basis) and features avant-garde musician, painter and AIDS activist Diamanda Galás on the cover (see photo #1, Diamanda would go on and collaborate with Led Zeppelin bassist John Paul Jones on an album that was released in 1994). Some highlights of this issue include: - "Big Brother isn't dead, He's just subcontracting" by The Omega.
