Mongolian Antique Sorcerer's Horn *Tibetan: thun-rwa The Tibetan Buddhist magical horn is employed in rituals of destruction, exorcism, or black magic. In its simplest form, this weapon is made from a hollow yak or bulls horn, which is filled with various substances and then sealed with a plug or stopper. The magical substances used in necromantic rituals may include: written curses, nail clippings and hair from the intended victim, the blood or meat of various animals, iron fillings from a blacksmith, earth from a corssroads, menstrual blood from a prostitute, and the hair of a widow or of a woman who died in childbirth. In ancient Tibet and Mongolia, these horns were very plentiful, and often served as natural containers for mundane substances, such as butter, tinder, and gunpowder. I've also seen these used simply as cups for drinking alcohol. The idea being that it can't be put down until the drinker has consumed all of it. (paraphrased from Robert Beer). Details: Made from a BULLS Horn with a BRASS ring around the top and bottom with a nice design and two eyehooks with an old khadag attached.
