____________ This is a c.1902 Montana political pin captioned "DEDICATION SOUVENIR JULY 4th 1902" along the top edge, and "Compliments of GANS & KLEIN" on the lower part. This is a nice, ornate celluloid promoting the new Montana state capitol building in Helena. The capitol is pictured in black and white in the center, with a full-color U. S. flag cutting through a gold border. Gans and Klein was an early Helena clothing store which was located on the corner of Main (Last Chance Gulch) and Broadway. Text on the back of the pin includes "WHEN IN HELENA COME AND LOAF WITH US...". Pin is circular with an approximate diameter of about 1 1/4 inch. See scan of back of pin below. Condition is near excellent. IMPORTANT NOTE: My scanner often leaves "stripes and streaks" mostly along the edges of three-dimensional objects. These are from the scanner and ARE NOT on the actual item. I recently purchased a group of political and miscellaneous pins from a Montana estate. These pins range from the 1890's to the 1950's. Included are about ten interesting Montana-related pins, plus some that were not political in nature and a number of pins from various places of which I haven't a clue.
