NEW MINT Authentic Montblanc Meisterstuck Hommage a Chopin 145 Fountain Pen in flawless black precious resin with PLATINUM colored metal fittings and Medium Nib. Never inked; Never dipped. Retail price is something obsenely around US$500. This is the Medium sized pen in the Meisterstuck collection (bigger than the sadly discontinued 144, smaller than 146,149). It uses standard ink cartridges or draws ink directly from a bottle using a converter (not included). The white "snow cap" star crowned cap screws on. It also stays securely posted when you write. Dual tone 14K (585) Yellow Gold & Platinum (Rhodium plate) nib. The nib is M Meduim . The clip says " Germany". It has a unique serial number and 'Pix' underneath the clip. 'Pix' on the middle cap band (thus identifying this pen as post 2005).I prefer this model to the modern discontinued 144: it is a bit longer and does not have the corrosion potential, as the metal ring by the nib is done away with. The screw-on cap with a resin rather than easily damaged metal rim is also a nice touch: it's as if MB folks have come to their senses and restored the 1950-ies 144 design to its former beauty :)This pen is NEW in MINT condition: every part of it is truly beautiful and fully functional. The beautiful nib & the feed are in MINT unused shape. No flaws of any kind. Never inked; Never dipped.
