Up for sale today is a rare piece. This is the MTH, American Flyer Flying Colonel Set. This set is the traditional version, no sound. This sale includes the engine and the three passenger cars. All boxes and foams are included, but do show some wear. The engine was bench tested and ran fine, the lights worked, and the bell functioned as it should. The engine and cars are in excellent condition. Any questions feel free to ask. TCA member 97-44420 Tinplate lovers will find this extremely rare version of one of the most stunning Standard Gauge locomotive sets to ever grace a 3-rail pike incredibly appealing. Featuring a twelve-wheel electric locomotive and three matching passenger cars, the original American Flyer Flying Colonel set was handsomely painted in a Military Blue and French Gray paint scheme. The extremely limited productions of the original Flying Colonel sets are extremely difficult to obtain and if found are incredibly expensive. The appeal of this beautifully recreated reproduction gives Tinplate enthusiasts an attractive alternative means to completing their American Flyer collection. Correction in the listing: I DO NOT HAVE ALL 4 ORIGINAL BOXES, I have two of them and two replacement boxes from MTH that are unmarked, sorry for the misunderstanding, my mistake.
